I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.

"Each child is unique and the protagonist of his or her own growth. Children desire to acquire knowledge, have much capacity for curiosity and amazement, and yearn to create relationships with others and communicate. “(Malaguzzi- Former teacher of Reggio). Our children are our most precious commodity, for they are our future. I know that my work matters and I am making a difference in the lives of children.

I truly believe that we as Early Years professionals should encourage and expose children to more cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual stimulation during the child’s first few years. It is also known that meaningful childhood experiences influence brain development in the decades ahead. Children are very inquisitive and we should provide a constructive learning environment so they can make sense of this world. As a parent myself, I understand that parents want only the best for their child. A positive parent-school-teacher partnership contributes to the child’s success in education and learning. We will work together to ensure the child will benefit most during his or her enjoyable moments here at Etonhouse.

Chloe is the Classroom assistant in Nursery 1 and speaks Chinese, English and also Bahasa Melayu. She comes from the small town of Penang, Malaysia and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Segi College, Subang Jaya.

As today's young learners are undoubtedly challenged by an increasingly fast-paced and technologically-characterized environment, it has become the weighted responsibility of the early childhood educator. Therefore, my educational philosophy in early childhood education is to create and facilitate excellence in the life experiences of young children. I believe that parents and family are the most significant persons in the child's life. We strive to work in a partnership with the families to benefit the child. I always welcome families at all times and encourage daily communication between parents and I . Parents and family members are encouraged to actively participate in my teaching program. I believe that each child is a unique individual who develops at his/her own rate. I strive to provide culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning and help children enjoy successful experiences. I believe that a stable, safe, healthy, comfortable, and culturally relevant environment is crucial to a child's physical, emotional, social, cognitive and creative growth. I believe in positive guidance techniques. By establishing consistent, age appropriate limits, I help the children function in their world. I hope my teaching aid and lesson plans can help to develop in children a sense of independence, social competence, confidence and responsibility.

I believe that each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I will help each child to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. By creating a teaching environment that fosters children’s creativity and thirst for learning. Children are able to experience new things through play and inquiry, building healthy relationships and feeling proud of who they are. It is so wonderful to see learning as a joy and adventure for children.

A child’s early years is vital for his or her holistic development. Children’s creativity can be extended when teachers provide appropriate guidance. This allows children’s vivid imagination to be achieved through explorations in their surroundings. I believe that every child is unique as they assimilate different learning experiences into their daily lives. Children should be recognized as a prime concern as they represent the future, shaping the society to become respectable citizens.

I believe that every child is unique and learn in different ways. My approach to teaching and learning is to respect differences and diversity in all aspects. Apart from meeting children’s needs, I believe that we, as educators, play a crucial role in supporting children’s learning and development. In conjunction with that, I would like to develop a positive partnership with families to promote the best outcome for children.

Children are locks and teachers just need to find the right key to open their heart and mind. I believe each child is unique and they posses distinctive characteristics. The way children respond and the brilliant ideas that they produce have inspired me to become a better educator, a better person. I yearn in creating a fun and interesting environment to foster children's creativity and heighten the learning experience as I believe children learn best when they are enjoying the process.

As an educator, I have profound interest in the children’s point of view. I acknowledge their powerful minds and I have utmost curiosity in finding out how they think. I value and respect a child’s right to a conducive learning environment, their rights to be safe and be protected, to be loved and cared for and their rights to be just children. Letting children be children and giving them that control over their learning experience with guidance from their teachers, is what I believe would make them happy and well-rounded children.

Children are rich and capable who actively construct their knowledge and understandings about the world through interactions with their surroundings. Therefore, a stimulating learning environment that allows children to explore, discover and investigate is significant in their learning process. A teaching approach that is responsive to children, including their strengths, needs and interests is essential to support children to learn at their fullest potential. I always believe that children learn best when the learning experiences are meaningful to them.

I studied at University of Tunku Abdul Rahman with Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Chinese Studies. As a teacher I believe that we need to respect and appreciate each child as a unique individual with various learning styles and personalities and our responsibility is to support the child's own development through the learning activities.I also believe we must choose only the finest literature, song , poems, and rhymes to give our children, because these language models are the seeds that inspire our children who love using language and grow them into powerful writers and thinkers.

I am from a small town outside of Toronto, Canada. Previous to joining the Etonhouse family, I was living and teaching in South Korea for two years. I believe that school is a diverse and rich setting in which students, parents and teachers can come together as a community in order to aid students in building respect for themselves, each other and their environment. In doing so, students are able to achieve personal and academic success while building self-confidence and life skills. This will in turn enable them to develop as caring, knowledgeable and reflective lifelong learners.

I am passionate and ambitious about young children discovering their abilities and providing them with the knowledge, skills and values to make them lifelong learners. I continually aspire to be a facilitator and observer of children (and lead one day) in education and thoroughly enjoy this journey. I am extremely fortunate to work alongside a brilliant team of dedicated teachers at EtonHouse. I strongly believe that parents are a child's first teacher and a positive partnership between parents and teachers is necessary to facilitate each child grow and develop into well rounded, confident and happy learners.

Teaching is not a job. It’s about joy and passion – the joy in witnessing the journey of a child and the passion shaping the child’s future. Being a teacher is not about teaching ABC or 123, but also instilling values and discipline in a child’s life. I firmly believe, with strong fundamental, it could shape a child’s characteristics, hence, brighter future ahead. I would like to quote from Helen Keller; character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Anyone can have an influence on a child. I believe it is the responsibility of teachers to make sure their influence is positive, encouraging and developmental, helping the child to find their joy of learning, by pushing the boundaries of what they believe they know. Children love to discover, nature, facts, language and to share what they have learnt. I provide support and guidance for the children, on their journey of discovery into the English Language.
